Hello hello hello friends and family!!! :) hope you are having a blessed week and are all staying safe and sound. This week was
awesome, sister Provard and I totally killed it this week. Hard work certainly brings blessings. My motivation to write a weekly right now is like -1 so it will be really lame. I apologize in advance.
Monday: okay so we had a pretty crazy day, in the morning we went and helped a member move to Brooklyn and then afterwards our entire zone went to the stake presidents house to have a barbecue to celebrate Memorial Day! So fun, our zone is the best :) always making good memories with good people. Our lesson with our part member family got cancelled so we just did some finding that night.
Tuesday: District meeting with our "squad up district" as elder Paterson likes to call it haha. We had a great week and it's nice to
have a district that is all hard working. It's really motivating. Afterwards we went and visited our less active member and she had some questions about why we're really encouraging her to go to the temple so we really talked about the importance of the temple and she seemed to gain more of a desire which was great! Except now she's starting to make a debate between her boyfriend and going to the temple.... Ugh. Which is more important? Obviously the temple haha were working on it! We tried contacting all of our investigators the rest of the day and had a lesson with a former the elders previously taught, he really likes to bible bash which makes for interesting lessons and he also studies with the Jehovah witnesses which adds even more flavor to our lessons haha.
Wednesday: We had a lesson with the less active we met on the train a few weeks ago and it was such a powerful lesson. I miss teaching English so so so much. She is really wanting know if our church is true and we promised her she would be able to know it is. Gosh it was one of the best lessons on my mission. We also had service at Prospect park as always :) all our lessons we had set up totally cancelled, oh well it comes with the calling! :) although we were able to drop off a family history booklet for a girl in our part member family and she has been so excited to do it. I love seeing people so exited to help their families. Melts my heart.
Thursday: Fort Green service was so fun until a turtle peed on me! Haha sister Provard and I were asked to clean out their cage and while I was holding one it totally peed all over me. Super funny but super gross at the same time. Good memories. We had a few more lessons throughout the day but our investigator (the Joseph smith, Thomas s. Monson one?) the only reason she doesn't believe him is because of the word of wisdom. Because we NEED alcohol for parties for New Years and stuff like that. NEED. good heavens. Also in other news I got robbed from China!! Haha someone got ahold of my mission card and stole from
me. I guess someone really needed .49 haha so I'm living off of sister Provard until my new card gets here. I thought it was a funny story.
Friday: Service at the senior center was lovely as always, afterwards we helped our lovely zone leaders once again by taking supplies for them :) #savethezoneleaders. Funny story is that they texted us at 7:30 in the morning just to ask if their outfit was okay hahaha I love those goons. Then we did weekly planning! Nothing too exciting.
Saturday: Well our meeting got cancelled and so did our lesson so what do missionaries do with a full day of open time? FINDING! Literally all day. I thought I was going to go mentally insane. But somehow I survived and found some new people for the north elders!
Sunday: Church was good. We went down to Staten Island to teach a less active member and had a great lesson with her on the plan of salvation. Eternal families are so true! I'm so happy I get to be with my goon of a family for forever haha even if they drive me crazy sometimes ;)
Well that was another week of the life of sister Seay. Hope you all enjoyed haha. If you didn't read it that's okay because I have lots of pictures this week! :)
Love, Sister Seay
